Canada and Silver

The beautiful country of Canada is known for many great things. Two of these are an abundance of mineral resources and superb numismatic craftsmanship. The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) has capitalized on these qualities and has minted some truly outstanding silver Canadian bullion coins. The best known of these is the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. Other lovely coins are produced as well. The large mammal coin series, commemorating some of Canada’s most picturesque wildlife, has been very popular with investors and collectors.

Silver Canadian bullion produced by the RCM is world renewed for its quality. The mint operates as one of the work’s most technologically advanced refineries of both gold and silver.

Canadian Silver Maple Leaf

The Silver Maple Leaf is one of the most beautiful of all bullion coins. The reverse of this coin bears the beloved image of Canada’s most treasured icon, the Maple Leaf. Rich in design details, the Maple Leaf shows a shows a series of five symmetrical points. Within the Maple Leaf are a myriad of sub-stems and veins true to nature’s grand design.  The Maple Leaf image is struck by the Royal Canadian Mint in exquisite and marvelous detail. The front of the coin depicts the bust of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is “extra”-fine .9999 fine silver bullion. The piece was designed by the Canadian artist, Susanna Blunt.

Other Canadian Silver Bullion Coins

Hi Vicky, Thanks for visiting. The determination of whether to buy gold or silver in really an individual one. Gold is rarer and commands a higher price. If you are just stating out and have limited funds, silver would be a good choice. Both gold and silver are near two-year lows in price at the time of this writing (4/2/15), so both are poised for an up move as the market turns bullish. Have a look at the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin or the US Silver Eagle coin. You won’t go wrong with these.
