If your budget is small but you are quite interested in investing in gold coins, you can do it. Don’t let your limited budget daunt you. Take a look at low priced gold coins. Selected low priced gold coins include the two peso Mexican gold coin, the 1/20 ounce Australian and Chinese gold coins, the 10 frank Swiss gold Rooster coin, and the 1/10 ounce American gold Eagle coin. All of these can be had for under $200 per coin, some less than $100/coin at current prices.

Perhaps the best known of the low priced gold coins is the 1/10 ounce American Gold Eagle Coin. On the obverse (front of the coin) is a beautiful image of August St. Gauden’s Lady Liberty, with long flowing golden hair, a torch in her right hand, and an olive branch in her left. The reverse of the coin, designed by sculptor Miley Busiek, shows a male eagle with an olive branch in his talons, flying over his mate and her hatchlings in their nest.

Gold Eagles produced by the US Mint are offered as either brilliant uncirculated or as proof coins. Brilliant uncirculated Gold Eagles are by far the more common of the two types. By law, all American Gold Eagles are composed of 91.67% gold from USA origin, which is combined with a small amount of silver (3%) and copper (5.33%) to produce a more durable coin.

I am always in the market to make as much money as I can. Particularly in ways with minimal effort.

I have often wondered about gold and its prices as there are a lot of dealers near where I live.

This is a very interesting post and it certainly gives good advice on some of the gold coins that you might not think of otherwise. Thank you for sharing.

    Hey Mike

I have been considering this for some time. Thanks for the info.

I have read that gold has a tendency to rise greatly and then fall noticeable again over a reasonably predictable term if looking at the last say 50 or 100 years.
Obviously long term it is a constant growth…

But, whats your take on this? How long do you recommend holding on to it to show a decent profit?

    Many thanks

      Hi Marc,
You are right. Gold has a tendency to be quite volatile in price. When it rises, it can so so quickly and move a long way up in price. As far as predictability, let’s just say no one has a fully functional crystal ball. However, what we do know is that gold is a hedge against geopolitical mayhem, economic disasters, and hyperinflation. Buying some low-priced gold bullion coins now, while gold price is low, might be a very prudent thing to do. And, it won’t break your personal bank to do so.
